Burton Coliseum

Burton Coliseum is a domed arena that can be used for basketball games, cheer and dance competitions, gymnastics meets, martial arts competitions, volleyball tournaments, wrestling matches and rodeos. A 40 foot by 60 foot portable stage is great for talent showcases, and the floor load capacity is virtually limitless. The dome over the coliseum peaks 105 feet above the 24,000 square feet of floor space. Burton Coliseum is actually two, full-service buildings in one: a domed arena with seating for 6,500, which can be expanded to 8,400 for basketball games; and a 168,000 square foot Livestock and Exhibit Building. The two sections work well together or separately. With permanent stalls and chutes from the Livestock and Exhibit Building, the Coliseum is a superior rodeo arena. A 50,000 square foot, covered arena for livestock activities provides seating for 1,500 spectators. Complete facilities are available for 250 RV units, and 104 spaces are furnished with water and electricity. As an affiliate to McNeese State University, the facility serves as the home venue for various McNeese athletics, graduations and other university events.

Lake Charles Civic Center

A 3-level, 3-part complex, the Lake Charles Civic Center, is located in the heart of downtown Lake Charles. The James E. Sudduth Coliseum has a flexible seating capacity of 7,450 people and is able to accommodate basketball games, cheer and dance competitions, indoor football, gymnastics meets, martial arts competitions, rodeos and equestrian events and volley ball. Another option to consider is the Rosa Hart Theatre, located on the south side of the Civic Center. Its fixed seating capacity is 2,050 and has been used for numerous dance recitals and world-class productions such as the Russian Nutcracker. Located at the Lake Charles Civic Center, Bord du Lac Park features four lighted tennis courts with clay surfaces. A sidewalk follows the lakefront from the grounds of the Civic Center to a natural sand beach near Interstate 10. The Lady Claire Dock, on the south side of the Civic Center, is an ideal spot for loading and unloading passengers onto shimmering Lake Charles for watersports.

Lake Charles Multi Sports Complex

Baseball: Located off of Highway 14 in Lake Charles, the complex has five baseball fields, which will each seat 200 spectators. The complex has a pavilion with concession stands, offices, bathrooms and a storage room. It is the home of USSSA World Series Events.
Football: With 12 regulation size fields, the Lake Charles Multi Sports Complex is home to many of Southwest Louisiana's youth football leagues.12 Fields, 600 Seating, 500 Parking, Concessions & Lights available.

The Memorial Gym at McNeese is a perfect fit for gymnastics meets & the home cout of McNeese Volleyball. In 1999, it received new hardwood floors, and in 2002, a sound system was set in place. A new acoustic-paneled roof and ceiling were added in the fall of 2004.

Sulphur Parks and Recreation

In Sulphur, your group can make a splash at the Sulphur Recreation & Aquatic Center. Surrounding the competition indoor 8-lane, 50 meter swimming pool is seating capacity for 3,000 spectators under one roof. The center also includes an indoor 6-lane teaching pool with 0' depth entry and one outdoor pool and water park. The Sulphur Aquatic Center has two basketball courts with a seating capacity of 1,000 spectators. The courts can be converted to hold volleyball tournaments, cheerleading or dance competitions and gymnastics meets. In addition, kids of all ages can enjoy the outdoor water park located at the complex.The facility is home to the Sulphur High & Barbe High School swim teams, as well as many other recreational leagues.

West Calcasieu Arena

The West Calcasieu Arena is Southwest Louisiana's newest spot for outdoor entertainment. The 30,000 square foot main arena features all the latest audio and visual technology with over 40,000 square feet of holding and stock pens all under one roof. The seating capacity is in excess of 1,800. The arena offers over seven acres of well lit parking and can accommodate any size recreational vehicle, including over 60 RVs. The staff barn comes equipped with a 10,000 square foot warm up pen and can easily be configured for livestock shows.
